LexEnergy, in collaboration with Kinnekulle Energi, is proud to announce the installation of Götene’s first public ultra-fast charger. The project features LexHub, LexEnergy’s next-generation charging solution that combines ultra-fast charging with advanced grid services.
Unlike traditional charging stations, LexHub integrates battery storage, dynamic grid connection, and a proprietary operating system, enabling charging of up to 360 kW while also strengthening the local grid. By supporting services such as frequency stability and peak shaving, the solution transforms EV charging into an active contributor to a smarter and more resilient energy system.
An important milestone for Götene’s energy transition
The installation marks an important milestone in Götene’s transition toward sustainable mobility and modernised energy systems.
For Kinnekulle Energi, a forward-looking local utility, the project demonstrates how energy companies can integrate fast charging into their broader energy strategy – not only to meet customer demand but also to strengthen their local grid infrastructure.
“Partnerships like this are what move the industry forward. Kinnekulle Energi has a clear vision and the willingness to explore new ways of building smarter energy systems. Together we are showing how EV charging can be part of the solution – not only for mobility, but for the grid itself.”
— Matilda Thorsell, CEO & Co-Founder, LexEnergy
“We are impressed by how LexEnergy has created a solution that not only meets the demand for public ultra-fast charging, but also actively strengthens the grid. The combination of dynamic grid connection and energy storage makes LexHub a game-changer, and we see it as a natural part of the future energy infrastructure.”
— Albin Främgård, CEO, Kinnekulle Energi
Turning charging infrastructure into a multipurposed energy asset
LexHub goes beyond providing ultra-fast EV charging. Its integrated energy storage and grid-interactive design enable utilities like Kinnekulle Energi to turn charging infrastructure into a strategic energy asset.
With its unique architecture, LexHub supports:
• 360 kW ultra-fast charging without overloading the grid
• Battery storage integration for load balancing and flexibility
• Dynamic grid connection that adapts to local capacity
• Ancillary services such as frequency regulation and peak shaving
This approach allows energy companies to unlock new value streams while contributing to grid stability, energy resilience, and faster electrification.
Official inauguration in Götene
The charger was officially inaugurated on Monday, 6 October, at Järnvägsgatan 29 in Götene. The event gathered representatives from Kinnekulle Energi, LexEnergy, and the Götene municipality, including local customers who were among the first to test the new LexHub.
