LexEnergy continues to strengthen its commercial organization with the addition of Sara Strand, who joins the company with experience from scaling energy businesses at the intersection of technology, product development and commercial execution.
Sara’s background spans early-stage scale-ups and strategic consulting within energy, mobility and industrial sectors. Most recently, she played a key role in taking an energy company from concept to growth, owning the full sales cycle, shaping the business model and translating market needs into a scalable energy platform.
“I’ve worked on the buyer’s side of energy solutions, which gives me a clear understanding of what actually matters when investing in batteries or energy systems. It’s not just about performance. It is about long-term value, risk and how the full system works together.”
Making complex energy systems understandable
Sara has followed the energy market over time and seen trends emerge and evolve. One conclusion stands out. Sustainable solutions are built through collaboration across the value chain.
“When solving complex challenges like energy optimization behind the meter, no single actor can do everything. The strongest solutions are created when each partner focuses on what they do best.”
She also emphasizes the importance of clarity in an increasingly complex energy landscape.
“Energy systems have historically been invisible to most people. Even though awareness has grown, it remains complex. Customers should feel confident. Explaining why flexibility is becoming critical, and how it creates value, is a central part of the dialogue.”
Why LexEnergy
Sara has collaborated with LexEnergy for several years through partnerships, which gave her a close understanding of both the team and the company’s direction. The decision to join was shaped by the combination of competence, ambition and timing.
She describes LexEnergy as a company where strong technical expertise meets commercial drive, creating the foundation for long-term execution in a rapidly evolving market.
“The company is in a demanding but very exciting phase. The ambition is clear, and there is real capability to deliver.”
She was also drawn to LexEnergy’s integrated approach to electrification and energy infrastructure. Rather than relying solely on grid expansion, the company focuses on optimizing and balancing existing infrastructure through a system perspective.
“The energy transition requires smarter solutions. We cannot simply expand infrastructure everywhere. We need to optimize and balance what we already have by combining hardware and software from a system perspective.”
Beyond work
Outside of work, Sara recharges outdoors, often together with her dog Stella. Time in nature helps her reset and refocus. When she needs energy, she turns to movement such as running, strength training or badminton.
